Our key is communication with all parties involved in the build - the owners,
our skilled trades men and women, suppliers, architects and designers.
With a keen passion for the environment, Mark drives innovative principles such as energy efficiency and waste reduction throughout each project he undertakes.
A self-confessed control freak, Mark is committed to creating progressive, durable builds. He stays on top of industry advances by keeping up to date on new materials and techniques.
Having been brought up on a grazing property, Mark moved to Sydney to begin an apprenticeship in carpentry, working on high end projects. Since moving to Canberra, he has gained further accreditations including residential and commercial licenses as well as sustainability-focused HIA Greensmart professional, and Passive House certifications.
Mark feels the best results come from the synergistic collaboration between architects, interior designers, consultants, engineers and skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen.
Having built up a talented team, he acts as a conduit between these experts, managing and coordinating the build focusing on precise workmanship.
Natasha’s law credentials give her inner knowledge of rules and processes on navigating purchasing, planning, designing and building. With Tash overseeing these processes in conjunction with Mark’s building expertise, the Taylor and Knowles team holds a solid partnership based on innovation and precision.
Natasha grew up on a family property, then studied Arts/Law at Australian National University. She graduated to work as a property lawyer in leading firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now known as King & Wood Mallesons). She also worked as a commercial lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor.
This background coupled with the building courses she has undertaken makes Tash well-equipped to tackle major projects. She likes to build to the “letter of the law” and refuses to cut corners. Her knowledge of WHS requirements and processes is also indispensable on the work site.
