The existing house was an original mid-century Seidler inspired design. Studio Heim designed a new extension to the rear and new garage to the street. The owners had returned from their time spent living in various cities around the world, and were after a home that reflected their family and made use of the view to the adjoining reserve.

Overview

The extension created a new two storey living, dining and parent’s retreat. This build was all about angles, lines and curves. From start to finish, this project demanded precision. Construction tolerances had to millimetre perfect to make sure doors, walls and setbacks aligned.

The build was a demonstration of how to make construction look simple yet elegant. Behind the simplicity, there is a great amount of thought, collaboration and skill.
